Texmaco Rail & Engineering Secures ₹140 Crore Order for Multi-Purpose Wagons from Indian Railways.

Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd, a leading player in the railway equipment manufacturing sector, announced recently that it has secured a significant order valued at ₹140.55 crore from the Indian Railways. The contract is for the supply of newly developed Flat Multi-Purpose (FMP) wagons.

These innovative FMP wagons are engineered for exceptional versatility, capable of transporting a diverse range of cargo including steel coils, containers, and military vehicles. Furthermore, they are designed to support Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) operations, offering enhanced flexibility across critical sectors such as agriculture, defense, and general transport.

Indrajit Mookerjee, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Texmaco Rail, commented on the achievement, stating, "This order reaffirms the Ministry's trust in us and highlights the government's focus on modernizing freight operations."

This latest order significantly bolsters Texmaco Rail & Engineering's financial standing, pushing the company's total order book to an impressive ₹7,115 crore. The contract underscores the ongoing efforts by the Indian government to upgrade and modernize its railway infrastructure, with Texmaco Rail playing a crucial role in this transformative initiative.
