THDC signs MoU with Kerala electricity board for solar project.

THDC India Ltd., (formerly known as Tehri Hydro Development Corporation Ltd.), a Public Sector Unit diversifying into alternate energies, has signed a tripartite agreement for development of a 50 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project and sale of power with Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) and Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).

The agreement was signed recently at Thiruvananthapuram by K Valsakumari, director (renewable energy & planning) of KSEB; C Kannan, director (finance), SECI and Deepak Sarwal, executive director (ED), THDC India Ltd. in presence of M Sivasankar, Secretary Power , Govt of Kerala. The project shall be located at Kasaragod district in Kerala and be commissioned within 12 months.
