TNPL to invest in common facility.

Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Ltd. will invest over Rs. 70 crore to expand its cement plant and establish a common infrastructure facility to provide space for notebook and text convertors and box manufacturers. The Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa announced in the Assembly the state public sector company will establish a value added products manufacturing facility at a cost of Rs. 40 crore in Karur District. This facility will provide space for about 15 convertors. The 15 units will generate over 500 jobs, she said.
