Uni Linc India officially opens ballpoint pen manufacturing plant in South Gujarat..

In a significant move for the Indian writing instruments industry, Uni Linc India Pvt Ltd, a joint venture between Linc Ltd and Tokyo-based Mitsubishi Pencil Co Ltd, has formally inaugurated its ballpoint pen facility in Umbergaon, South Gujarat. The new plant was announced in an official stock exchange statement  recently.

The partnership brings together Mitsubishi Pencil's renowned precision technology and Linc's extensive market knowledge and distribution network. This collaboration is specifically aimed at producing high-quality writing instruments that are also affordable for India's large consumer base.

According to the company statement, the product portfolio will eventually expand beyond ballpoint pens to include a range of value-added writing instruments. This will not only strengthen Linc's current offerings but also give consumers more choices.

The joint venture will use its new Umbergaon facility as a strategic hub for introducing its full range of writing instruments into the Indian market. This positions Uni Linc India as a key player in the country's writing instruments supply chain.

The inauguration of this facility strengthens a long-standing relationship between the two companies. Linc has been the exclusive distributor of Mitsubishi's popular "Uni" and "Uniball" branded pens in India for over 30 years. The new joint venture deepens this partnership, allowing both companies to combine their strengths to set a new standard in the Indian market.
