"Unilever explores Hyderabad for new GCC hub as Telangana delegation pitches 'Telangana Rising' vision at Davos."

FMCG major Unilever is exploring the possibility of establishing a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, the Telangana government said recently.

The development follows a meeting between Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Willem Uijen, Chief Supply Chain and Operations Officer of Unilever, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, where the Chief Minister is leading the state’s delegation.

During the meeting, Reddy highlighted Hyderabad’s rapid emergence as a global hub for GCCs, according to an official release. Uijen said Unilever would be keen to explore the opportunity of setting up a GCC in the city, the release added.
