Union Steel Secretary inaugurates new Oxygen plant at SAIL RSP.

Business Standard reported that union steel secretary Mr. G Mohan Kumar has inaugurated a new Oxygen Plant at Rourkela Steel Plant an integrated Steel Plant of India target blank Steel Authority of India.

The Oxygen Plant, which become operational yesterday, has been set up as a part of an agreement between SAIL-RSP and M/s LINDE for Supply of Oxygen, Nitrogen and Argon gases by operation of the plant on Build Own & operate basis at Rourkela Steel Plant.

Official sources said that 'The plant has an installed capacity of producing 2x700 tonne per day of Oxygen, High pressure Nitrogen, Low Pressure Nitrogen and Argon. The purity of the gaseous oxygen will be to the tune of 99.6%.'
