USD 30mn Al Qudra Road project announced by RTA.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened the widening of Al Qudra Road project valued at USD 30 million.

The project covers extending the road by 12 kilometers, comprising of 3 lanes in each direction, starting from Jebel Ali - Lehbab Interchange to Bab Al Shams road annexation.

The project aims to control traffic starting at Jumeirah via Umm Suqeim Road, which has recently been upgraded with the opening of two bridges each has three lanes in each direction; the first lies above the Eastern Parallel Road (Al Asayel Road), and the second stretches above the Western Parallel Road (Al Khail First Road).

The scope of work under this project also includes the construction of metal rails and design works cover maintaining trees, irrigation networks and light poles.

On 31st January 2015, the RTA will open the new bridge which is parallel to the old bridge crossing Jebel Ali-Lehbab Road.
