VA TECH Wabag, a leading water technology company, has been awarded a significant contract by the Saudi Water Authority for the development of a 300 Million Litres per Day (MLD) Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) mega desalination plant in Yanbu, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The prestigious order is valued at approximately $272 million, which translates to about ₹2,332 crore.
This comprehensive project encompasses the complete scope of design, engineering, supply, construction, and commissioning of the large-scale desalination facility. The plant will be developed on a new greenfield site situated along the west coast of Saudi Arabia. This win further solidifies VA TECH Wabag's presence in the Middle East and its expertise in providing critical water solutions.
