Vedanta Ltd, led by Anil Agarwal, is set to invest ₹13,226 crore to scale up its aluminium production capacity from the current 2.4 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) to 3.1 mtpa by FY28, according to sources.
The expansion is part of the company’s broader strategy to position aluminium at the core of its growth plans. With demand for aluminium rising across sectors such as infrastructure, transportation, and renewable energy, Vedanta aims to strengthen its leadership in the domestic market and enhance its global competitiveness.
