Coimbatore: Transaction processing and knowledge management company Venture Infotek is all set to enter the rural market with its ‘Venture Grama’ solution to facilitate banking services to the unbanked.
The company has bagged an order for implementing a pilot project for the MannDeshi Mahila Sahakari Bank Ltd at Mhaswad in Maharashtra’s Satara district.
Sources close to the development said the challenge would be in implementing the ‘Venture Grama’ solution in this rural mahila bank. The company has also bagged an order from Bank of Rajasthan to implement the solution for its rural branches on a pilot basis.
Besides facilitating basic banking services in rural pockets, Venture Infotek would also help take Government-sponsored schemes forward with disbursement of subsidies to the bank’s rural customers.
The ‘Venture Grama’ solution would aim to provide a platform for reaching out to the rural populace in an efficient, secure and cost-effective manner.
The solution would be offered through smart card technologies such as biometric E-Cards, with adequate memory for multiple applications and transactions.
