Vikram Solar to Commission 11 GW Module Manufacturing Units in Tamil Nadu by End of FY26.

Vikram Solar, one of India’s leading solar module manufacturers, is set to significantly expand its production capacity with plans to commission 11 GW of new module manufacturing facilities in Tamil Nadu by the end of this fiscal year. This expansion will boost the company’s total installed module manufacturing capacity to 15.5 GW.

The Kolkata-headquartered firm aims to commission a 5 GW unit at Vallam in the third quarter and another 6 GW facility at Gangaikondan in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year.

During an earnings conference call, Vikram Solar’s management highlighted that the Vallam facility represents the company’s single largest expansion project, developed in a record timeframe of just six months. The project will feature four manufacturing lines of 1.25 GW each, underscoring the company’s aggressive growth strategy and commitment to strengthening India’s renewable energy manufacturing base.
