VOC Port Enables First Rail Movement of VinFast EVs to Haryana.

The VO Chidambaranar Port has facilitated the rail dispatch of 100 VinFast electric vehicles to Ballabhgarh, Haryana, from its Marshalling Yard in Tuticorin using the newly introduced New Modified Goods (NMG) wagons.

The shipment marks a milestone in the port's expanding automobile logistics capabilities and highlights its focus on strengthening multimodal cargo transportation through dedicated infrastructure.

Spread across 16.25 acres, the Marshalling Yard features dedicated reinforced cement concrete (RCC) loading platforms, internal road infrastructure and seamless rail connectivity, providing an efficient gateway for cargo movement.

According to the port, the dispatch underscores its ability to support faster cargo evacuation and meet the growing logistics requirements of the automotive sector through purpose-built infrastructure.
