WABCO opens manufacturing facility in Lucknow.

WABCO Holdings Inc. (NYSE: WBC), a global supplier of technologies to improve safety and efficiency of commercial vehicles,recently inaugurated its fifth manufacturing facility in India. The new manufacturing facility is located in Lucknow.

WABCO's extended network in India helps both local and global commercial vehicle manufacturers further grow their domestic and export business. At Lucknow, WABCO will manufacture advanced parts, including anti-lock braking systems ( ABS), actuators and a range of braking valves for multiple global commercial vehicle makers operating in India.

WABCO's new plant expands the company's manufacturing capacity in India beyond its four existing plants: two in Chennai, one in Jamshedpur and another in Pantnagar.

The company's new 11-acre (40,500 sq. meters) facility provides employment for around 150 people. WABCO expects to employ an estimated 300 persons when this factory reaches its full production capacity by the end of 2015.
