works starts on ADB funded bihar transmission project

Work started on the Asian Development Bank (ADB) funded project of Rs 650 crore for upgrading electricity transmission lines for seven towns of Bihar.

The seven towns selected for the scheme are — Biharsharif in Nalanda (the home district of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar), Motihari, Bettiah, Ara, Buxar, Samastipur and Begusarai.

The project will be completed by June 2016.
