World Bank aid for Rajasthan road project.

India will make use of $160 million credit from the World Bank for the Rajasthan Road Sector Modernisation project (RRSMP).

An agreement to this effect was signed in the Capital between the Finance Ministry and the World Bank.

A project agreement was also signed by the Rajasthan Government. The objective of the project is to improve rural connectivity, enhance road safety and strengthen road sector management capacity.

The project has three main components - rural connection improvement; road sector modernisation and performance enhancement; and road safety management, an official release said. The closing date of the RRSMP is December 2018.
