ZF Group Expands Rail Portfolio in India with Advanced Dampers for Metro and High-Speed Trains.

ZF India Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Germany-based ZF Friedrichshafen AG, has launched advanced railway dampers for the Indian market at the International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE) 2025. The launch marks a significant expansion of ZF’s portfolio in the country’s growing rail equipment segment.

The newly introduced dampers are engineered for metro, semi-high-speed, high-speed, and locomotive applications, combining reliability with durability to meet the demanding operational conditions of Indian railways.

Built with a maintenance-free twin-tube design and compact structure, the dampers enhance ride comfort, boost operational efficiency, and minimize maintenance-related downtime. Their high dynamic stiffness and ability to perform in extreme weather conditions are expected to lower the total cost of ownership for rail operators across India.
