336 piles to be built for Durga flyover.

Soma Developers, which has bagged the contract of the Kanaka Durga flyover, is making arrangements for constructing 336 piles along the 2.55 km-long elevated structure that will link Bhavanipuram with Seethammavari Padalu.

A total of 130 vehicles with casting equipment and material will reach the city from New Delhi over the next few weeks.

In a review meeting with representatives of Soma Developers recently, Krishna Collector Babu A. asserted that the flyover would be a permanent solution for the traffic problem and exuded confidence that it would be ready before the conduct of Krishna Pushkaram.

The Collector instructed the district officials to remove any structures in the casting yard to facilitate the speedy execution of the project.

Urban Mandal Revenue Officer Siva Rao informed the Collector about the progress of the ongoing contruction works.
