₹563 Crore Sought by Andhra CM for State Sports Infrastructure

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu met with Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya recently, advocating for substantial central funding to bolster the state's sports infrastructure and development. Naidu requested a total of ₹563 crore, comprising ₹538 crore for establishing new stadiums and ₹25 crore for hosting the Khelo India Martial Arts Games later this year.

Naidu, who leads the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), a crucial ally in the NDA government, also pressed for the swift completion of existing Khelo India infrastructure projects in Tirupati, Rajahmundry, Kakinada, and Narasaraopeta.
