Adani Airport Holdings to Invest ₹1,300 Crore in Thiruvananthapuram Airport Expansion
Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL) has announced a ₹1,300 crore investment to expand Thiruvananthapuram International Airport (TRV) by 2027. The project, named "Project Anantha," was unveiled at the TRV Growth Conclave, attended by government officials, local representatives, and tourism industry members.
The expansion will feature a new terminal inspired by Kerala's iconic temple architecture, with cascading steps and terraced levels. The terminal's area will increase from 45,000 square meters to 165,000 square meters, boosting passenger capacity from 3.2 million to nearly 12 million annually.
Scheduled to begin this financial year, the project will include a plaza, hotel, upgraded parking, a new Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower, an international cargo complex, and remote check-in options. Adani took over the airport's management in 2021.
