During the India Energy Week (IEW) in Betul, Goa, Satinder Pal Singh, CEO of Adani Total Pvt Ltd, shared insights with Subhayan Chakraborty regarding the future of India's Dhamra LNG terminal. Situated on the East Coast, the Dhamra terminal is India's newest and sole terminal in the region.
Singh emphasized the strategic importance of the Dhamra LNG terminal, highlighting its utilization of the Urja Ganga and Indradhanush gas grids to cater to the needs of the region. He underscored the significance of these infrastructure networks in facilitating efficient gas distribution and bolstering energy security in the area.
Regarding the global LNG market, Singh predicted a surge in large LNG volumes before 2025. Despite concerns over low capacity utilization rates at terminals, Singh argued that this phenomenon should not necessarily be viewed negatively. He suggested that such situations could present opportunities for optimization and strategic planning in the LNG sector.
The revelations made by Singh underscore the proactive approach of Adani Total Pvt Ltd in adapting to evolving market dynamics and leveraging infrastructure developments to meet the growing energy demands of the region.
