Aerohub at Sipcot Aerospace Park to Begin Operations in April 2025.
The Aerohub at Sipcot Aerospace Park in Sriperumbudur is set to begin operations in April 2025, marking a significant step towards fostering aerospace and defence innovation. The facility will feature a design and engineering centre, an advanced avionics complex, and dedicated spaces for skill development and innovation.
The Aerohub will host around 28 avionics companies and is a key component of the larger Aerospace and Defence Industrial Park in Sriperumbudur, which spans 250 acres. The park will offer essential infrastructure, including roads, stormwater drainage, and power supply.
As part of this development, TIDCO (Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation) is also establishing an Advanced Computing and Design Engineering Centre (ACDEC) within the park. ACDEC will house an avionics complex, a centre of excellence, a skill development centre, and a warehouse facility. The project is being executed by TIDEL Park Ltd.
The development will be carried out in two phases. The first phase, which covers a built-up area of 5.54 lakh square feet, is expected to be completed by June 2022 at an estimated cost of ₹250 crore. This initiative aims to enhance the state's capabilities in aerospace and defence manufacturing and design, supporting the growth of this critical sector.
