Aerolloy Technologies Ltd Acquires Hot Rolling Mill

Aerolloy Technologies Limited (ATL), a wholly owned subsidiary of PTC Industries Limited, has announced the acquisition of a Hot Rolling Mill for producing Titanium Alloy plates and sheets. This advanced equipment will enhance ATL’s capability to manufacture high-integrity metal components for aerospace and defense applications.

The Hot Rolling Mill, acquired from the USA, represents a significant milestone for ATL. It will complement the production of Titanium Alloy ingots and billets at ATL's upcoming Strategic Materials Technology Complex in Lucknow, part of the UP Defence Industrial Corridor (UPDIC). This acquisition allows ATL to achieve a fully vertically integrated capability, covering the entire Titanium alloy product value chain—from ingots and billets to bars, rods, castings, and now plates and sheets.

This new capability is particularly notable given the scarcity of Hot Rolling technology for Titanium plates and sheets worldwide. The advanced mill will enable the production of thinner titanium sheets, which are crucial for aerospace applications such as aircraft wings and marine engineering components resistant to corrosion.
