"Airtel Broadens Network Coverage in Thiruvananthapuram District Through Rural Enhancement Initiative"

Bharti Airtel, a leading telecommunications service provider in India, has announced the deployment of additional sites in Thiruvananthapuram district to enhance its network coverage. The network enhancement project, spanning 48 towns and 42 villages and covering a population base of 8 lakh, aims to improve customer experience in the region across both voice and data connectivity.

Residents in the tehsils of Chirayinkeezhu, Kattakkada, Nedumangad, Neyyattinkara, Thiruvananthapuram, and Varkala under Thiruvananthapuram district will directly benefit from this initiative. The expansion is set to provide seamless access to high-speed connectivity, a significant service enhancement for customers in rural and smaller towns, ensuring reliable mobile network access for work, study, and entertainment purposes.

This year, Airtel has reaffirmed its commitment to the state by investing additional capital expenditure to enhance network connectivity, facilitating a seamless experience on 4G, 5G, broadband, and fiber platforms.

Airtel's rural enhancement project, operational nationwide, aims to enhance network connectivity across 60,000 villages by 2024. Kerala has emerged as a key focus market for the company, with plans to augment network coverage across 1600 villages and 355 towns, encompassing the entire state.

The rural enhancement project spans all 14 districts of Kerala, aiming to bring high-speed connectivity to high-potential villages and expand coverage to rural and unconnected areas. The addition of fresh fiber capacity supports the growing demand for high-speed data services in the region.

Airtel's network now extends across key urban, semi-urban, and rural areas, including highways, tourist destinations, and trade centers. The enhanced network coverage reaches popular tourist destinations such as hill stations and beaches across the state, ensuring connectivity even in remote locations such as hill stations in Wayanad, Idukki, and Pathanamthitta.
