Amber Enterprises Plans ₹2,000 Crore Investment for Printed Circuit Board Facility

Amber Enterprises is expected to invest ₹2,000 crore to establish a printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing facility in India, according to two sources familiar with the development. "The investment is expected to take place within the next few months," said one of the sources, who requested anonymity.

Amber Enterprises, transitioning from primarily a residential air-conditioning manufacturer to a diversified business-to-business electronics goods maker, plans to enhance its backward integration. This move is supported by its partnership with South Korean firm Korea Circuit, which has extensive experience in producing printed circuit boards. A PCB is a rigid, flat structure with electrical circuitry that connects various components of an electronic device.

Earlier this year, the two firms announced their collaboration to develop a comprehensive range of PCBs for various applications in India’s electronics manufacturing sector. This portfolio will include high-density interconnect, flexible PCBs, semiconductor substrates, and multilayer, double-sided, and single-sided PCBs
