Ambuja Cements Boosts Capacity with 2.4 MTPA Expansion in Farakka.

Ambuja Cements Limited has announced the successful commissioning of its 2.4 Million Ton Per Annum (MTPA) brownfield expansion of its Grinding Unit (GU) located in Farakka, West Bengal. This significant development, coupled with the debottlenecking of 0.5 MTPA across its various existing plants, has propelled Ambuja Cement's total production capacity to an impressive 100 MTPA.

The commissioning of the expanded Grinding Unit in Farakka marks a crucial step in Ambuja Cements' strategy to enhance its manufacturing capabilities and cater to the growing demand for cement in the eastern region and across the country. The brownfield expansion involved augmenting the existing infrastructure to incorporate advanced grinding technology, thereby increasing efficiency and output.

Furthermore, the company's proactive measures in debottlenecking processes across its other plants have contributed an additional 0.5 MTPA to its overall capacity. This combined effort underscores Ambuja Cements' commitment to optimizing its operations and solidifying its position as a leading player in the Indian cement industry, now boasting a substantial 100 MTPA production capacity.
