Andhra Government Sanctions Rs. 234 Crore for Roads, Bridges.

As part of its effort to improve road connectivity in the rural areas of the state, the Andhra Pradesh government has sanctioned an amount of Rs. 234 crore for taking up 176 roads and three bridge projects.

Of the Rs. 234 crore, about Rs. 187 crore will be granted by NABARD as loan and the balance amount of `46.81 crore will be provided by the state government.

According to an order issued by the state government here on Saturday, bridges will be constructed across Sarada River and approach road to Murakada village in Visakhapatnam district, Gadidala Vaagu at Daida village on the road from Gurazala to Samadanampeta in Guntur district and across river Champavathi at Konisa village in Vizianagaram district. About Rs. 7.3 crore will be spent on the construction of the three bridges.
