Andhra Pradesh's Renewable Energy Capacity Addition Quadruples to 3,865 MW in FY26.
Andhra Pradesh added 3,865.63 MW of renewable energy capacity during 2025-26, nearly four times the 1,085.15 MW installed in the previous financial year, underscoring the state's emergence as one of India's fastest-growing renewable energy hubs.
The sharp increase marks a significant turnaround in Andhra Pradesh's renewable energy sector after several years of relatively modest capacity additions, strengthening its position among the country's leading destinations for clean energy investments.
"Andhra Pradesh added 3,865.63 MW of renewable energy capacity during 2025-26, compared to 1,085.15 MW in 2024-25, reflecting a nearly four-fold increase," an official press release said on Monday.
The surge in capacity addition highlights the state's accelerating transition towards renewable energy, supported by increased investments and project execution across the sector.
