AP CM Pledges Priority for Amaravati and Polavaram Project

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, speaking on Thursday after visiting Tirumala for darshan at Lord Balaji's temple, reiterated his commitment to prioritize the development of the Greenfield Capital Amaravati and expedite the long-pending Polavaram Project. He emphasized the importance of restoring and protecting the sanctity of Tirumala.

Following his swearing-in for the fourth time as Chief Minister, Naidu expressed his determination to revamp institutions and administration in the state, starting with his family's business success as an example of creating wealth for Andhra Pradesh's five crore citizens, rather than personal gain.

Highlighting his new term as "Naidu 4.0," he promised a different and impactful approach for the state's progress, clarifying that while political vendetta was not his aim, those responsible for misrule and corruption would face consequences. He emphasized his commitment to maintaining law and order and preventing disruption.

Later in the day, Naidu planned to assume office in Amaravati and begin his official duties, including addressing key issues such as teacher recruitment through a mega DSC notification, amendments to the Land Titling Act, and increasing pension for the elderly to ₹4,000 per month. The allocation of portfolios to newly appointed cabinet ministers was also expected.
