AP Government Pushes Centre for Approval of Kuppam Industrial Corridor, NH Upgrades.

The Andhra Pradesh government has appealed to the Central government to fast-track approvals for the proposed Kuppam-Bengaluru-Chennai industrial corridor and several key highway expansion projects in the state.

Nara Lokesh, Andhra Pradesh’s Minister for IT & HRD, raised the request during a meeting with Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari, in Delhi on Monday.

Lokesh emphasized the importance of the proposed 56-km-long Kuppam–Hosur–Bengaluru Greenfield highway, which is expected to cost ₹3,000 crore. He stated that this project would be a "game-changer" for the growth and development of the region and the state as a whole. The minister highlighted the need for swift action to ensure these critical infrastructure projects move forward.
