Bahrain co plans medical resort

New Delhi: One of the largest employers of Indians in Bahrain, Nasser S Al Hajri Corporation (NSH), a construction company, will invest Rs 100 crore in a medical tourism project in India. Mr Ravi Pillai, MD of the company, said: “We will invest Rs 100 crore for a medical resort in Kerala, this year, to give a much needed boost to medical tourism in India.” Mr Pillai’s company is one of the largest employers of Indians in the Middle East with 20,000 of the total 35,0 00 employees from India. NSH is looking at employing another 1,000 fresh engineering graduates from India in the next three months. The company also intends to begin two hospitality projects in Delhi and in Chennai, besides its existing hotel in Bhopal. The company is also to start work on a road construction project in Chennai and in Uttar Pradesh within the next month.
