BEL Secures Orders Valued at Rs. 678 Crore
Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna DPSU (Defence Public Sector Undertaking), has recently finalized a contract valued at Rs. 445 Crore with the Government of Uttar Pradesh on December 23, 2023, for the implementation of the next-generation UP Dial 112 project. This substantial project aims to establish one of Asia's largest emergency response systems across the entire state of Uttar Pradesh.
Under this agreement, BEL will provide comprehensive and cutting-edge hardware, AI-based software tools, and Cyber Security solutions for the Dial 112 project. The company is pleased to collaborate with the Uttar Pradesh Government on this significant initiative, contributing to the enhancement of emergency response capabilities.
Furthermore, BEL emphasizes its commitment to utilizing the domestic ecosystem, including Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), for the efficient execution of the project.
In addition to the UP Dial 112 project, BEL has received supplementary orders amounting to Rs. 233 Crore since the previous disclosure on December 22, 2023. These additional orders encompass Communication Display Units, Thermal Imaging cameras, and various miscellaneous spares and services.
With these recent developments, BEL has cumulatively secured orders totaling Rs. 26,613 Crore in the current financial year 2023-24, reflecting the company's continued success and robust performance in securing major contracts across diverse sectors.
