"BEL Wins Orders Worth ₹1,155 Crore"

Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL), a state-owned aerospace and defense company based in Bengaluru, has secured new orders totaling ₹1,155 crore. The largest of these is an ₹850 crore contract from Cochin Shipyard Ltd to supply an indigenous Multi-Function Radar. Developed by DRDO and manufactured by BEL, this radar operates in the X Band and is designed to detect, acquire, and track airborne targets to safeguard naval ships.

Additionally, BEL has received an order worth ₹305 crore for a range of products and services, including navigational complex systems for ships, thermal imagers, communication equipment, fire control systems, gun control systems, and related spares and services.

This latest announcement follows BEL’s previous update on August 22, 2024. With these new contracts, BEL’s total order backlog for the current financial year has reached ₹7,075 crore.
