BEML Bags ₹110 Crore Defence Ministry Order to Supply Engines.

State-owned Bharat Earth Movers Ltd (BEML) has secured an order worth approximately ₹110 crore from the Ministry of Defence for the supply of engines, further strengthening its defence manufacturing portfolio.

The latest order comes close on the heels of another major contract valued at ₹157 crore received from Loram Rail Maintenance India Private Ltd for the manufacture of switch rail grinding machines. These machines are slated to be supplied to Indian Railways and will be used for track maintenance operations.

On the financial front, BEML reported a decline in its consolidated performance for the second quarter. The company posted a 5.8 per cent drop in consolidated profit to ₹48.03 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, impacted by lower income.
