BEML Secures ₹246 Crore Order from Central Coalfields Ltd.

Bharat Earth Movers Ltd (BEML), a public sector undertaking specializing in heavy equipment manufacturing, has received an order worth ₹246.78 crore from Central Coalfields Limited (CCL). The contract involves the supply of 48 BH60M rear dump trucks, along with spares and consumables.

Shantanu Roy, Chairman and Managing Director of BEML, highlighted the significance of the deal, stating, “This order strengthens our resolve to contribute to India’s growth by supporting critical sectors like mining with sustainable and advanced technologies, aligning with the nation’s vision of self-reliance and global leadership in industrial innovation.”

The latest order follows BEML’s recent ₹866.87 crore contract with the Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai, to design, manufacture, and commission two high-speed trains, each comprising eight cars.

The new projects underline BEML’s growing role in driving technological advancements in India’s industrial and transportation sectors.
