Bengal bus orders for Ashok Leyland.

Ashok Leyland Ltd. has obtained orders for 449 buses from West Bengal Government transport enterprises.

'We are launching our new product 'JanBus' in West Bengal. In the first delivery batch, 30 such single-step entry and flat-floor buses will be handed over soon,' Vinod K Dasari, the company's Managing Director, told reporters recently.

The total order book for these new buses from a number of States, including Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, now stands at 1,600.
