Bharat Electronics Bags ₹2,323 Crore Orders from MDL, GRSE for Naval Missile Systems.

Public sector undertaking Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) has announced the securing of significant orders totaling ₹2,323 crore from two prominent Indian shipyards: Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL) in Mumbai and Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) in Kolkata.

These crucial contracts pertain to the supply of base and depot spares for missile systems that are integrated into Indian naval platforms. The move is set to bolster the operational readiness and continuity of critical naval equipment.

In an exchange filing, BEL stated, "The spares will ensure operational continuity of onboard mission critical equipment." This highlights the essential nature of these orders in maintaining the effectiveness and reliability of the Indian Navy's missile systems.

The securing of these contracts further solidifies BEL's role as a key supplier of advanced defense electronics to the Indian armed forces, ensuring the sustained operational capabilities of vital naval assets.
