Bharat Forge Bags Long-Term Aircraft Component Contract from Embraer.
Bharat Forge Limited has entered into a long-term contract with Embraer for the manufacture and supply of critical landing gear forgings, marking a significant milestone in India’s aerospace manufacturing sector.
The company said it has become the first Indian supplier to join Embraer’s global aerospace supply chain for forged components. Under the agreement, Bharat Forge will supply high-integrity forged parts for landing gear systems across Embraer’s commercial and defence aircraft programmes.
The engagement is expected to strengthen Bharat Forge’s position in the global aerospace supply ecosystem, particularly in the segment of complex and safety-critical components. The company said the contract underscores its ability to meet stringent international certification standards and reflects a shared focus on quality, reliability, and long-term collaboration.
Vice Chairman and Joint Managing Director Amit B. Kalyani said the development is a proud moment for the company and a validation of the capabilities built in its aerospace business. He added that the partnership with Embraer is expected to create scale in structural aerospace components, complementing Bharat Forge’s existing presence in aero engine parts.
The agreement also reflects Embraer’s efforts to deepen engagement with India’s aerospace ecosystem as it expands its presence in the country. The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer has been increasingly collaborating with local industry players and stakeholders to strengthen its global supply chain footprint.
