Bharat Forge Sees Aerospace, Semiconductor Businesses Emerging as Key Growth Drivers.

Bharat Forge is banking on a clutch of newer businesses, including aerospace, semiconductor components, energy and defence energetics, to drive its next phase of growth, with several of these segments expected to scale sharply over the next two to four years.

The Pune-based engineering company expects its aerospace business, which currently generates around ₹400 crore in revenue, to double in size over the next two years. Its semiconductor business, meanwhile, is targeting organic revenue of $30–40 million over the same period.

“We are starting to see many of our businesses hit their stride,” Amit Kalyani, Vice-Chairman and Joint Managing Director of Bharat Forge, said during an earnings call on Monday.

Kalyani said the aerospace business is beginning to make a meaningful contribution to the company’s overall operations and is expected to expand significantly as new manufacturing facilities become operational.

The company is also looking to scale its semiconductor components business as demand for advanced manufacturing and electronics-related products grows. Together with its investments in energy and defence energetics, these newer businesses are expected to become increasingly important contributors to Bharat Forge’s growth in the coming years.
