"BHEL Secures Order from Mirzapur Thermal Energy UP Pvt Ltd"

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has clinched a significant contract from Mirzapur Thermal Energy (UP) Private Limited for the construction of a 2x800 MW thermal power project at Mirzapur Phase I, Uttar Pradesh.

The contract agreements, signed on June 5, 2024, entail the supply of equipment (including boiler, turbine, and generator) and the supervision of erection & commissioning for the power project based on Supercritical Technology at Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh.

Under the terms of the agreement, the boiler and turbine generator will be manufactured at BHEL's plants in Trichy and Haridwar, respectively.

The contract's total value exceeds INR 3500 crore, excluding GST, marking a significant milestone for BHEL in bolstering its presence in the power sector and contributing to the nation's energy infrastructure development.
