BHEL, Toshiba to ink MoU for power distribution

New Delhi: Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) will sign a memorandum of understanding with Japan's Toshiba Corp for a transmission and distribution joint venture.

The proposed venture with Toshiba will offer turnkey services in the country's power transmission sector and step up focus on the distribution segment as well.

BHEL's plans for a joint venture will help in bidding for for Power Grid Corporation of India's transmission upgradation plans.
