Big Apple takes up projects worth Rs. 1,000 crore in UP

Lucknow: Lucknow-based Big Apple Real Estate today announced an investment of Rs 1,000 crores for its up coming projects in four major cities of Uttar Pradesh.

The company is developing malls in Lucknow, Agra, Bareilly and Varanasi totaling 4.5 million square feet of retail area, over the next three years.

“Of the 5 projects, Lucknow, Agra and Bareily projects are under various stages of development, with Lucknow mall to commence operations by the third quarter of 2009,” said Priyank Tayal, director, Big Apple.

Big Apple is joint venture between Uttar Pradesh Asbestos (UPAL) and Mumbai-based Phoenix Mills.

Phoenix United, the Lucknow mall covering build up area of 5.75 lakhs square feet will have city’s first 6 screens multiplex.
