BUIDC forms JV with IL&FS for Urban projects

Kolkata: Bengal Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (BUIDC), a 50:50 joint venture (JV) between the government of West Bengal and IL&FS Infrastructure Development Corporation (IL&FS IDC) has created a project development fund of Rs 10 crore.

The fund would be utilised in the planning and development of urban infrastructure projects in West Bengal, said Sudip Datta, vice-president of IL&FS IDC.

BUIDC is also in the process of preparing a master plan for the new headquarter of 24 Parganas district, proposed to be set up on a 500-acre plot at Baruipur, Datta added.

In another development, IL&FS IDC is also in talks with the West Bengal Green Energy Development Corporation Limited (WBGEDCL) for funding grid connected solar photo voltaic projects.
