CAG Establishes Centre of Excellence for Financial Audit in Hyderabad.

The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India, K Sanjay Murthy, inaugurated the Centre of Excellence for Financial Audit (CoEFA) at the AG Office in Hyderabad recently.

The initiative comes amid increasing complexity and scale in public finance systems, highlighting the growing need for robust auditing practices supported by Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and other technology-enabled tools.

CoEFA aims to build a forward-looking ecosystem that combines advanced digital tools, global best practices, and human capital development to elevate the standards of public sector auditing in India and internationally.
