CCI clears RILs 3 oil blocks for exploration

The Cabinet Committee on Investment (CCI) today cleared Reliance Industries three oil blocks for exploration in the Krishna Godavari basin and the gas discovery area NEC-25 in the North East Coast (NEC) region, sources told NDTV Profit.

Two other blocks, belonging to Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and Cairn India, were also given approval under the condition that only 50 per cent of these blocks can be explored
