CleanMax, Amazon Ink PPA for 100 MW Renewable Energy Project in Karnataka.
CleanMax has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Amazon to develop and operate a 100 MW wind energy project in Koppal, Karnataka, the company announced on Thursday.
The project will be connected to the national grid and is expected to help offset Amazon’s electricity consumption from conventional sources. Once operational in Q2 2026, the wind farm is projected to generate approximately 355 million kWh of clean energy annually, reducing carbon emissions by an estimated 252,000 tonnes-equivalent to planting nearly 14.8 million trees each year.
“As a company that has always championed sustainability, CleanMax is elated to collaborate with Amazon to help decarbonize its operations while also advancing India's green energy landscape,” said Kuldeep Jain, Managing Director of CleanMax.
CleanMax is one of Asia’s leading renewable energy providers in the commercial and industrial sectors, managing 2 GW of operational renewable assets across India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
