CONCOR Signs Pact with GAIL India.

Container Corporation of India Ltd (CONCOR), under the Ministry of Railways, and GAIL (India) Ltd, under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, have formalized a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement was inked on April 23, 2025, in New Delhi, witnessed by key officials including Shri Sanjay Swarup, CMD of CONCOR, and Shri Sanjay Kumar, Director (Marketing) of GAIL (India) Ltd, along with other senior representatives from both organizations.

The MoU was officially signed by Shri Ahmed Wasi Khan, GGM (P&S) representing CONCOR, and Shri Kapil Kumar Jain, ED (Marketing - Retail LNG) representing GAIL.

The core objective of this collaboration is to develop Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) infrastructure across CONCOR's extensive network of terminals nationwide. This initiative aims to ensure a consistent and uninterrupted supply of LNG fuel to meet the growing road transportation requirements of CONCOR, paving the way for a cleaner and more sustainable logistics ecosystem.

Beyond the immediate focus on LNG infrastructure for transportation, the MoU also lays the groundwork for CONCOR and GAIL to explore potential collaborations in other mutually beneficial areas. This forward-looking approach suggests a broader strategic alliance aimed at leveraging the respective strengths and expertise of both organizations.

This partnership signifies a crucial step towards integrating cleaner fuel alternatives in the transportation sector and underscores the commitment of both CONCOR and GAIL towards environmental sustainability and operational efficiency.
