Construction work on Daska-Wazirabad road to begin in March

Sialkot: Punjab Chief Minister, Mian Shahbaz Sharif has released a special grant of Rs 300 million for the early construction and widening of the 26km long Daska-Wazirabad road. PML-N MNA Sahibzada Syed Murtaza Ameen told newsmen at Daska Civil Rest House that the construction work of this project would start in March 2009 and would be completed in a period of one year.

He said that it would be 24 feet wide main road now. He said that 16km long portion of this road falls in Daska Tehsil and 10km long portion falls in the jurisdiction of Wazirabad Tehsil. He said that the construction work would start simultaneously from both ends. He said that Punjab government was making all out sincere efforts to raise the living standard of the people by ensuring the early and smooth facility of all the basic facilities at their doorsteps.

He said that the people of Daska and Sambrial tehsils and surrounding areas would get better means of communication after this completion of this road project.
