Danisco unveils two new units in Haryana

New Delhi: Danish sugar and food ingredients group Danisco's India unit has opened two new manufacturing units in Haryana at an investment of $8 million, the company said on Tuesday.

One of the units will produce blends for the ice-cream market and the other will make enzyme blends for grain processing, textiles and laundry detergents for South Asian Markets, it said in a statement.

'The changes in government legislation in processed food have spurred our functional system investment, while the obvious importance of biotechnology in South Asia has resulted in our enzyme investment,' Neil Prasad, managing director, South Asia and Gulf States, said in a statement.
