Delhi-Mumbai Expressway: Vadodara-Mumbai stretch to cost Rs. 45,000 crore.

The Delhi-Vadodara segment will account for half the amount of Rs. 90,000 crore Delhi-Mumbai Expressway project, while the remaining half will be spent on Vadodara-Mumbai section.

The proposed outlay of nearly 50 per cent of the project cost for the Mumbai-Vadodara is significant as the distance to be covered is shorter than the Delhi-Vadodara section.

The Delhi-Vadodara stretch is being taken up in five phases at a cost of Rs. 45,000 crore, for which bids have been invited and are at various stages of finalisation, according to an official release.

The Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway is being constructed in three phases at a cost of Rs. 45,000 crore, the release added. Work has been awarded for 120 kms.
