Dhanuka Agritech to Expand Dahej Facility.

Dhanuka Agritech Limited is set to expand operations at its recently established manufacturing facility in Dahej, Gujarat. The agricultural chemical major is currently in discussions with its Japanese collaborators regarding contract manufacturing of new formulations.

"Last year, we set up a new facility in the chemical zone in Dahej, Gujarat, where we manufacture technical grade pesticide. We are currently manufacturing only one molecule. It is a multi-purpose plant," Mahesh Kumar Dhanuka, the company's chairman, told businessline in an online interaction. "We are talking with our Japanese collaborators to share some molecules with us so that we can manufacture them and supply."

A key driver for Dhanuka's proposal to manufacture these additional molecules in India is the lower overhead costs here compared to Japan, offering a cost-effective solution for its partners. This expansion could significantly boost Dhanuka Agritech's production capabilities and strengthen its ties with international collaborators.
